Sentinel has CARB and OTC-compliant adhesive removers for use in your state.
As more and more states introduce restrictions (Consumer Product Rules)limiting the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) used in making adhesive removers, the need to inventory, distribute, and use compliant products increases. We are now starting to hear about situations where abatement jobs are being shut down and fines are being handed out for the use of non-compliant products.
Sentinel manufactures and our distributors inventory VOC-Compliant products in states that currently have Consumer Product Rules in place. Review our CARB and OTC compliant product page to learn more, or contact us with questions.
It’s almost time to get the lead out…
With the introduction of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (USEPA) Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule (RRP), we hope you consider Sentinel for your lead abatement needs. Our products meet USEPA Title 40, Part 745 definitions and satisfy the work practice standards for residential property renovations. Contact us to learn more.
Different Adhesives Require Different Removers
Different is good right? Well it is when you are removing adhesives, so it’s important to make sure that you correctly identify the type of glue that you are removing. Knowing the type of glue that you have allows you to select a remover that will work the best.
Refer to Sentinel’s Adhesive Remover Matrix on our home page to help you figure out which Sentinel remover to try.
Adhesive removers work better at room temperature.
Despite the fact that spring is almost here (even here in MN), a quick reminder that adhesive removers are more effective when they are applied at room temperature. When working in basements or in areas that are cooler or below grade, it helps to keep our removers at room temperature for as long as you can before using them. Even solvent-based removers that do not freeze are significantly more effective when kept warm prior to using.
As always, contact our technical support area with any questions that you might have.
